Rough draft of our ecosystem
![Picture](/uploads/9/9/0/1/9901892/1352136622.png)
This was our first sketch on what our ecosystem was supposed to look like. Half of our ecosystem looks like this and some of it has changed. The only thing we didn't do was draw our animals.
Searching for ants

Here me and Vanessa are gathering ants to put in our ecosystem and we thought they would also eat our dead grasshopper but they didn't.
Final Ecosystem

This is our complete ecosystem. We built a small rock house and planted some more plants. Beside the pond there are some airplane plants that bugs can use to get out of the water. They can also use the rock steps i made. I also made a small raft, and our wolf spider made a small web on it as well. In our pond we have some water plants, a rock in the corner, a small orange beta fish, and our relaxing red bellied fire toad. In the far corner meal worms which will later turn into beetles for food. We also added some more earth worms to help our plants and soil.

Our plants haven't started sprouting yet but they will. We put our little house in our ecosystem and the lizard is enjoying a small light bath from our light.

*We had finally sealed our ecosystems and since then we recorded everything that happens in there. Our ecosystem has been sealed for almost a week yet so we have two more to go. In this picture I took a picture of the side wall where the light was and as you can see there is no water on the side because it got too dry but on the other side there is water and you can hardly see through it at all, because the water cycle is really working and our plants have really grown since we have closed it. The only thing we have to change every now and then is the light because one side stays really dry and the other side is very light so we have to rotate the light so we can an even amount of light in our ecosystem.
*They picture below is a picture of the other side where the light isn't on there, as you can see the light isn't there and the water cycle is wet on this side.

Here is a picture of the top of our ecosystem and there you can see that the water has gathered on the roof of our ecosystem and from that is what waters on our ecosystem. When the water comes from our little pond it gathers on top and then rains down to water and then it starts all over again.
Water Cycle.

Here is a picture of the side of our ecosystem where the light had been. The water cycle hasn't been here because the the light would just dry it all out. If you look where the light is now you can see the water droplets because the water cycle was there and the light didn't dry it all out.
Female lizard spotted!

Here is our young female lizard who came out of hiding. We think she has had some young because she is way tinier.
